Research Overview

About ARA-290

ARA-290 is an 11-amino acid peptide derived from the helix-B domain of erythropoietin. It selectively activates the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR) without stimulating red blood cell production, making it a focus of research into neuropathy, tissue repair and inflammation.

How It Works in Research

Researchers study ARA-290 for its potential to support tissue repair and reduce inflammation while avoiding the erythropoietic effects associated with erythropoietin.

Research Applications

Peripheral neuropathy Small-fiber neuropathy Tissue repair Neuroprotection Inflammation research Pain modulation

ARA-290 binds the Innate Repair Receptor (EPOR/CD131 heterodimer), activating anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic signalling pathways that promote tissue repair without increasing red blood cell production.

Key Benefits

  • Neuroprotection research
  • Tissue protection studies
  • Anti-inflammatory activity
  • Nerve regeneration research
  • Pain-modulation investigations

REFERENCE RECONSTITUTION INFORMATION

ARA-290 is supplied as a lyophilised peptide and should be reconstituted using bacteriostatic water before laboratory research use.

Always follow sterile preparation techniques when handling research peptides.

The following preparation information is provided for laboratory research purposes only.

General Preparation

Store refrigerated after reconstitution and use within 28 days. Do not freeze after reconstitution.
  • Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water, inject slowly down the vial wall, gently swirl until fully dissolved, label with the preparation date and refrigerate at 2–8°C.

Reconstitution: Add 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water to a 10 mg vial. Final Concentration: 5 mg/mL

Reference Handling Information

Reference information for laboratory handling of ARA-290.

  • Use a new sterile syringe for each preparation.
  • Rotate injection sites during research protocols.
  • Record preparation dates and usage.
  • Discard the solution if it becomes cloudy or discoloured.
