Prepare the Laboratory Workspace

Ensure you're working in a clean, sterile environment. Wash your hands thoroughly and sanitize your work surface. Remove both the peptide vial and bacteriostatic water from refrigeration and allow them to reach room temperature.

Sterilize Vial Tops

Use an alcohol swab to thoroughly clean the rubber stopper on both the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water vial.

Draw Bacteriostatic Water

Using a sterile syringe, carefully draw the calculated amount of bacteriostatic water from the vial.

Important: Always use bacteriostatic water, never sterile water alone.

Add Water to Peptide Vial

Insert the needle through the rubber stopper of the peptide vial. Aim the needle at the inside wall of the vial.

CRITICAL: Do not spray the water directly onto the powder. Do not shake the vial.

Allow Dissolution

Once all the water has been added, gently swirl the vial in a circular motion. The peptide should dissolve within 1–3 minutes.

Inspect the Solution

Once fully dissolved, the solution should be clear and free of any particles or cloudiness.

Store Properly

Immediately after reconstitution, store the vial in a refrigerator at 2–8°C. Keep upright and protected from light.

Shaking the Vial

Spraying Directly on Powder

Injecting water directly onto the powder can cause aggregation. Aim at the vial wall instead.

Using Plain Sterile Water

Always use bacteriostatic water containing benzyl alcohol to prevent bacterial contamination.

Improper Storage

Reconstituted peptides must be refrigerated. Room temperature storage dramatically reduces shelf life.

Not Sterilizing
