Research Overview

About Mazdutide

Mazdutide (IBI362) is a long-acting synthetic peptide engineered to activate both the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors. Researchers are studying its potential effects on appetite regulation, energy expenditure, metabolic function and body-weight management.

How It Works in Research

Mazdutide is being researched as a next-generation metabolic peptide that combines GLP-1 receptor activity with glucagon receptor activity to investigate complementary metabolic effects.

Research Applications

Weight management Metabolic health Glucose regulation Energy expenditure Appetite regulation Obesity research

Mazdutide functions as a dual agonist at both GLP-1 and glucagon receptors, combining the appetite-suppressing and glucose-lowering effects of GLP-1 with the energy-expenditure benefits of glucagon activation. Its extended half-life supports once-weekly dosing in research settings.

Key Benefits

  • Body-weight research
  • Appetite regulation studies
  • Metabolic function research
  • Glucose metabolism studies
  • Energy balance investigations
  • Improvements in metabolic markers observed in clinical studies

REFERENCE RECONSTITUTION INFORMATION

Mazdutide is supplied as a lyophilised peptide and should be reconstituted using bacteriostatic water before laboratory research use.

Always follow sterile preparation techniques when handling research peptides.

The following preparation information is provided for laboratory research purposes only.

General Preparation

Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Discard after 28 days or if cloudiness or particulates appear.
  • Add 3.0ml bacteriostatic water to the vial by slowly injecting it down the inside wall. Gently swirl until the powder has completely dissolved. Do not shake. Label the vial with the preparation date and refrigerate at 2–8°C.
